Piety ….is it love or fear

The other day I was watching a dance theatre performance … The Meera Bai.

While getting into the soul of the drama, Meera’s character started growing into me.

This is love for God… The Lotus Eye.

This is called getting lost in totality, ceasing to exist and melting away in the warmth of Devotion.

I have an actual love for God. However, there is one question that bothers me.
Do I love God or am I afraid of God?

I think that we should question ourselves if the creator, the superpower, is angry about it.
IF,

We went to the temple with our shoes on.
We did not take a bath before saying our prayers.
We consumed alcohol and non-vegetarian food on the sacred days of the year.
We go to the temple during periods… etc.

Who laid down these rules and why?

Did a stone-age man follow these rules and protocols?

Since when did religious bigwigs turn to monitors and jot down the Dos and Don’ts?

We teach and preach our children… “Beta bhagwan jee naraz ho jayengay”?
Why do we, mislead innocent children? Can God actually get angry with a small soul? No Never.

We put our shoes outside or take a bath while in a temple. Do we realise that we still carry loads of filth in our system while in the Deity’s audience?

And, what to say, we carry so much negativity, deceit, unfaithfulness, treachery and abuse in our psyche while in prayer with folded hands.

Yes, we do this, out of respect and submission.
But, is it respect or fear?

Where did the phrase “GOD FEARING” come from?
Why do we appreciate a person who is God Fearing?
There is NOTHING like GOD LOVING … Why?

Tell me, are we afraid of our mother? Why should we be afraid of her?

We should love and respect her. She may be angry, but she will never curse her child or make him suffer. She is the biggest healer and will do anything and everything to comfort her baby.

GOD is an Eternal Energy that basks the universe with HIS force and positivity.
We are the defaulters who squander the existence of this super-power and do negative things. When the Energy revolts, we presume that HE is angry.

This Energy is Within Us, Around Us, Near Us: We are fools if we look for it in the most arduous and difficult of places.

We scale mountains and spend millions in a queue to see a STONE that is nothing but a human creation to test people’s endurance and pseudo piety. But there are also financial interests.

How can the Creator abandon us and reside in a remote and difficult place?

Can the parents do that… NO!

I am a pious person and believe in the Super-power that guides and takes care of me.
BUT, I am not afraid of Him… I love Him … I thank Him, every day, for what I am and what He has bestowed upon me.

To LOVE HIM…
I do not have to fast.
I do not have to change my lifestyle.
I do not have to do pseudo manoeuvres.
I do not have to travel to places with cash or gold bags.
I do not have to bribe Him.

It’s the positive vibe that keeps Him alive in me. To feel his presence I have to be compassionate and loving towards life and humanity.
I see him Smile and Weep in me … It’s my EMOTION, nothing else.

THEN WHY IS THIS SHOW OF?

Sin and Virtue are all in me, in front of me. I live with it every day.

The famous dialogue from the movie ‘PK’ …   कोई फिरकी ले रहा है, ई रांग नंबर है…..
